Basil Mays, CEO, has been involved in the medical field for over 24 years and is the past administrator of a busy, mid-sized, not-for-profit Florida hospital. While in this position, he was the chairperson of the infection control committee. In that role, he served as a consultant and teacher of many classes on infection control, Asepsis and continuing educational certifications.
Basil has been ever vigilant to bring better patient care to the forefront. He attends several seminars and medical equipment showcases each year, and remains actively involved in several professional patient care organizations.
Keith Roepke graduated with a BS from SIU Edwardsville and did his MBA work at Edgewood College in Madison, WI. After graduation, he worked for Parke Davis Pharmaceutical, Xomed, Smith Nephew and United States Surgical Corp. His experiences with these organizations led to the development of both stationary and mobile systems for hospital equipment sanitization.
Basil and Keith teamed up after meeting in the spring of 2005 and founded STAT Medical Systems LLC. By their combined efforts and experience operating hospital equipment mobile cleaning services in Florida and Missouri, the new BRS/100 system was created. Many thousands of hours of cleaning stretchers, wheelchairs, IV poles and other rolling equipment resulted in the BRS/100, a cutting edge system now available as a stationary or mobile cleaning unit.
Nine years of combined experience and engineering have gone into the development of the STAT (Sanitization Through Automated Technology) system. This is a system that makes sanitizing achievable where it is not possible manually, while eliminating current and unreliable infection control practices.
